​​ARTIST'S PROFILE

​In a corner of West Wales, near Aberystwyth, there's a shed by a stream. It's here that Jeni creates quirky pieces of art, using ceramic, driftwood, beach treasure, scavenged wire and repurposed fabric.

Jeni works in white earthenware clay using a wide variety of stamps, sprig moulds & textures. ​She uses glazes to give vibrant colours. 

​​Jeni has been playing with clay for thirty years in a variety of settings, primarily involved with delivering clay work as a therapeutic medium in a learning disability setting, which she continues to do.

Jeni loves the opportunities to play with clay and the way it can be used in ​different ways, making it accessible to all. Jeni has several themes running through her work, but each piece is unique and made with love.

​Mewn cornel o Orllewin Cymru, ar gyrion Aberystwyth, mae sied wrth ymyl nant. Yma mae Jeni yn creu darnau o gelf siriol, hynod, gan ddefnyddio cerameg, broc môr, weiren a ffabrig wedi'i ail-bwrpasu.

Mae Jeni yn defnyddio clai pridd gwyn gan ddefnyddio amrywiaeth o stampiau, mowldiau sbrig a gwead. Mae hi'n defnyddio gwydredd i roi lliwiau bywiog. 

Mae Jeni wedi bod yn chwarae gyda chlai ers deng mlynedd ar hugain mewn amrywiaeth o leoliadau, yn ymwneud yn bennaf â chyflwyno gwaith clai fel cyfrwng therapiwtig mewn lleoliad anabledd dysgu, ac mae’n parhau i wneud hynny.

​Mae Jeni wrth ei bodd â’r cyfleoedd a ddaw yn sgil chwarae gyda chlai a’r ffordd y gellir ei ddefnyddio mewn llu o wahanol ffyrdd, gan ei wneud yn hygyrch i bawb. ​Mae gan Jeni sawl thema yn ei gwaith ond mae pob darn yn unigryw ac wedi ei wneud gyda chariad.
